Mormon Lingo

You might find me using some words in my posts that you aren't familiar with. Here's a little explanation of some of them. If there are other words you want explained shoot me an email!

Mormon - a nick-name given to the church and its members because of the Book of Mormon. The actual title of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And yes, we're Christian.

Ward - members of the church are organized into congregations determined by where you live. Each congregation is called a ward.

Visiting Teacher - each woman (18+) in the ward has someone assigned to make sure her and her family's spiritual and temporal needs are met.
